Diva Challenge and Zentangle Scrapbook

The Diva challenge this week (#147) is to use one of her Tangles, Boo*Kee.  This one is completely new to me but it seems easy enough. I am playing with the tan tiles and thought I would try this Tangle with larger circles.  When I went back to look at Laura's example I realized that I drew it just like she did. Then I decided to add the second version coloured in with the brown pen and highlighted with white gel pen.

I also want to showcase the Zentangle mini-scrapbook that I made.  I took it to the CZT training in November for show and tell.  There are lots of pictures for this part of the post.

The min-scrapbook is all black and white and only decorated with Tangles.

Each page has eith belly bands or page flaps to hold pictures.

The page flaps are held in place by hidden magnets.

The center section is extra wide due to two flap pages.

I hope you didn't mind this diversion from the challenge.  I had lots of fun working on this album!  I wanted to prove to myself that I can use Zentangle in my other forms of crafting and I think it turned out pretty well.  My next challenge is to start encorporating Tangles into my card making.

Back to the Diva Challenge.  I think this tile turned out ok.  I am liking the brown and black pens working together with the white highlights.  The pencil shading is starting to look "old school" to me now.

Happy Tangling!

  1. I like the look of the tan tiles. I have not had a chance to use them yet. One of the advantages of attending the training when something new is released. Nice combination of tangles and also like the white highlighting.
